Best known for the character of Samantha Jones in the HBO Sex and the City series for which she was nominated for five Emmy Awards and 4 Golden Globe Award, winning the Golden Globe 2002 for the most outstanding supporting actress. She reprised the role in the movies Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010). In the 1980s her role was one of the leading as a Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin and Porky's.
